Action vs Knowledge
An ounce of action is worth more than an ounce of theory. One of the core concepts that Santiago, the main character talks about every time he talks about the Englishman is that he's always reading. He's always buried his head in his books. So I think that was the, that was such a great metaphor for how much he valued theory. It's like action versus knowledge and maybe the molding off it.
