Introduction
60 years ago there was a professor at MIT at Thorpe who had an idea that you could win at Blackjack using math. Ed Thorpe spent months working on the math behind card counting and he made some casino trips to prove that it could actually be done but then he basically gave up card counting. One of the groups that professionalized card counting was also at MIT. The first MIT Blackjack teams got together in the late 70s and then existed in various configurations for a number of years. Over a couple of decades they won millions from casinos but this group would have been just a single chapter in advantage play history.
