The aim of a political movement or a political struggle is to mitigate violence. If you see violence as an external, alien imposition that emerges in a polity, then the very tools you are using to mitigate it actually end up reproducing it. And so i actually think that this yo asks us to change our perspective of what it is we are doing when we talk about violence.
