The Importance of Experiments in Physics

A lot of the histories of physics that I've read focus more on the theoretical side. And so you'd get these stories where you'd get this wonderful insight of, of say, Einstein or one of the key theoretical physicists of the age. But it was almost like they came to these insights purely from their own personal genius, right? So there's a few things there about throwing out the lone genius stereotype and managing to recognize how important it is that we actually interact in the real world and do experiments.
