What I Love About This Story Is It's Subtitle
I love the fact that there's actually a subtitle. One of the things I like about this is as many times as I've read it, I'm not sure I entirely understand all the moves in it. And so I'm kind of amazed how it all comes together. This story does a lot of things that if a student writer were to turn it in, we'd be like, oh no, you shifted from first person to third person. But yet Joyce Carol Oates does it just, you know, without looking back.
