I think I'm somewhere in the middle, like there are some strong arguments on the side of people who are more worried about safety. If you think that intelligence and your actual goals aren't any way correlated, then I think that idea becomes immediately absurd. So it just wouldn't be possible, even if you had some super intelligent AI, unless it could manifest physical objects in the real world, it's not going to kill us all.
