iReporter: Why didn't they just start with this test on humans? It doesn't seem like it would be hurtful. Like, why did they start on mice? Oh, that's kind of a philosophical question. But well, i think a lot of science goes from sort of more basic models up and ultimately gets translated into people. This was a branch of science that's called circadian biology. And one of the ideas is that our bodies have this circadian rhythm programmed over 24 hours a day. What you want to do is kind of tune in to the right time to eat, when your body is sort of most ready for those calories.
