Is Calculus a Few Hundred Years Old?

Calculus is just a few hundred years old. Most historians and certainly most scientists would say it's from the middle 1600s, from Isaac Newton and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz. But there are definitely ideas of calculus almost 2,000 years earlier in the work of Archimedes in Syracuse. In fact, he's doing the harder part of calculus, integral calculus, but we don't usually call it calculus.
