The Conservatives deserve to lose the next general election until it can finally decide what it wants to be. You cannot seriously have a post-Brexit Conservative party that says it's going to prioritize national interest, but remove requirement for British companies to advertise jobs in Britain first. It's just completely contradictory, inconsistent. So I think what we saw in the local elections in Katie's absolutely right, always take them with a pinch of soul. But what you saw, I think, was widespread disillusionment. A sense, actually, on both the left and the right that nobody has the answers"
