The Rise and Fall of the Church

The idea of the church as being one legal entity. Doesn't actually make sense when you understand the reasons you have multiple different legal entities, how they serve different purposes. The church is engaged in stuff through for-profit businesses that get taxed just like any other for-profit business. Can those be owned by a nonprofit? Sure. And as long as they're paying taxes from that entity, then it's fine. There are many misconceptions about nonprofit organizations generally and churches specifically as far as their tax and legal treatment is concerned.
