Are We Promoting Virtue Within Our Civil Society?
A lot of the things that when you apply a moral ramework to what we're seeing manifest on the progressive left these days, a lot of it becomes understandable and defensible. I'm first of all, to give you permission to laugh at them, because the laughing at them is disarming. The second is commercial pressures, which i think will have their own effect of breaking this thing apart, as they did in the nineteenth century. Just about anything that contravenes modern progressive sensibilities finds itself having far more commercial appeal than it would have if it had been ignored.
