CBDC - The Fed Is Rewiring US Payment System

The UCC doesn't define what money is legal, all that stuff is done at the federal level. The term does not include an electronic record that is a medium of exchange recorded and transferable in a system before it was authorized or adopted by the government. And this is the part that slips in CBDCs. So I dare say a lot of the guys who voted for this had no idea what was in the bill. But it is the kind of thing that would sneak through without people realizing it.
