Is It Important to See Your Progress in Language Learning?

If i have regular lessons in whatever language i'm studying or speaking often i see myself that i'm making less mistakes and then i feel the progress while when i'm studying i don't have that feeling. In language learning it's very important to see or feel your progress if you're not able to see that you might lose your motivation which is why often we have a teacher. For me personally i see the progress way more when i'm speaking the language and on what i'm doing other stuff when i'm listening or when i'm reading or when i’m studying yeah this is really interesting what you are telling.
