The Five Lenses of Culture

The lenses through which we interpret culture are not just cognitive, propositional lenses. It's received on different registers than that and it affects us on different registers. Any analysis of culture or scripture for that matter that fails to recognize the multiple levels on which we're receiving and interacting with this stuff will fail radically at successfully engaging it or successfully discipling people.
