Mel Phillips and the Abuse of Tom

Tom Cole was molested by Mel Phillips when he was a 13-year-old ring boy for the WWF. After years of being sexually abused, Tom decided to go public with his story in 1992. He contacted journalist Irv Mushnick and Phil Mushnick who wrote about steroid abuse scandal that year. The two men are not related but still have similar last names. "This is an obvious, serious problem for the WWF," says ex-WWF star Michael Schumacher.
