I think he was lashing out very much like when like when he chose to leave and was trying to make it so that way Sam wise couldn't go with him I think it was very much from a place of guilt. There is a very deep story between Arwen and Elrond the elves because her father and her she is breaking away from me elves to be with this human, there's a lot there. You kind of get a glimpse in this movie of his backstory but you know his backstory is so complex. Tochen had to write the simmeryllian to try to explain what the hell his backstory is and why there's all this that plays into how Arwen
