The Importance of Game Theory in Poker
Game theory applies to the strictly quantitative stuff. But then there's this nebula of other stuff coming in, like people breathing funny and how do you quantify that? So when i first started playing poker back in two thousand and five, no one really understood game theory. The best players were basically older hust types who had just spent decades in casinos. And so often they'ld make these strange plays that would turn out to be correct, and they woudn't even be able to explain to you why they did it.
