Hemispheric Harmony: Balancing Perception and Understanding

Psychiatrist, philosopher, neuroscientist, and author of such books as The Master and His Emissary and The Matter With Things Dr. Iain McGilchrist is our guest on the show and we are thrilled to have someone with his experience and acumen to share with our listeners on today's episode.  During his conversation with Jay, Dr. McGilchrist gives us a look at his early experiences with philosophy and what drew him to Heraclitus in particular,  how the left and right hemispheres of the brain relate to one another, and what is necessary for us to contend with a better future.  We are very grateful to Dr. McGilchrist for being so generous with his time and we hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did on this episode of The Culture Matters Podcast.
