The European Music Archaeology Project
Music went right across what we now think of national borders. Music archaeology ents been found, which allow us to remake these instruments. We spent time in scandinavia in kind of vikings archaeological sites. For example, instead of a stone circle, they have stones arranged in the shape of a viking longboat. And we took ancient viking instruments and played them in those places. It was incredible to kind of absorb the atmosphere and understand what it might have been like to be a viking a thousand years ago.
