Siler: We hit peak or VO2 max quite early in the training career of an endurance athlete. There really is no such thing as a steady state, a physiological steady state. And what we seem to see is that those athletes that have done a lot of low intensity training, just they get more durable. They don't show the heart rate drift as much or it's delayed. It takes patience and it takes doing those more extensive workouts. You know, if you, what's your extensity? What is your ability to stretch?"
