The Kill Criteria for Quitting a Startup

A lot of what trips people up is that they don't keep track of time very well. The key to me about these kill criteria is that their thresholds with a timestamp attached to them. If I haven't grown revenues to a million dollars in three years, then I'm not on track to be a billion dollar company. That three years is really important because once you get into the thick of it, you always feel like, I've got a million dollars and revenues right around the corner.
