The Block Chain and the Art Blocks

Art blocks have been around since the 19 sixties in various different ways. But my understanding is that historically, as a generative artist, you would maybe produce tons of outputs and then pick your favorite five or ten or whatever,. And now not being able to kind of control which Outputs you pick puts the pressure on to get this algarthm really, really right before you start creating art. That seems like a really fundamental shift in the way that generative artists an generative art works. Is that right?
