In the sixties, physicist Eugene Vigner had an idea about how quantum mechanics worked that could maybe introduce some free will into the universe. I personally find this to be pretty far-fetched; there's no evidence for it. In a world with libertarian free will in the universe, there'd be huge weight of moral culpability.
