What's the Role of a Manager in Engineering?
Is it an anti pattern to have engineering managers who are only people managers and not involved in work is that something I think I've seen adopted in organizations even that aren't trying to prescribe the prescribed to the squad model. It seems to be a trend that was maybe born out of the squat model that I've seen across the industry so what are your thoughts on that? And there's one right answer for what a manager should or should not do.
