My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?

In psalm 22, jesus is lamenting before god. The father, like david, lamented before god, and heis bringing his pain. Is a model for how we're to bring our pain before god. It's the forsakenness of christ by the father that explains the darkness more than anything else. This was really common in the old testament prophets. They would talk about the day of the lord. And they all foreshadowed the great cap d day of the Lord at the very end of time,. bull, when the world turns dark on jesus.
