There is a good bit of news for the government in the jobs data yesterday. There were only, I say only, 128,000 working days lost to strikes in May. That was actually the lowest number of days lost since July 2022. But Jeremy Hunt is saying 6% is very high when we look at this. And that could really point to a Bank of England raising interest rates in August. Also the Chancellor would argue, let's move on to another front page. The Guardian says that financial firms must boost protections against AI scams. This is something the UK regulator is going to warn me on.
