Prophet notes that as an executive coach, he often finds leaders who are over functioning. This is taking too much responsibility for the other person's fulfillment of the assignment. In contrast, a higher functioning leader will ask, how do I contribute to the lack of accountability? How can I take responsibility for myself?
An emotionally mature culture is a non-anxious culture. Systems that function this way are more resilient and adaptive in the face of inevitable challenges. Here's how you can foster this kind of culture.
