Colins's Vision for the National Land Bank
Bank of ireland was set up by michael collins after the war of independence. He wanted it to become a financial centre for Ireland and challenge existing banks. But when he was assassinated, his two main promoters were no longer there. The new state bank became effectively a state own bank. And all the while, he said, the engine of the irish groop would be working.
