Is It Really About Wealth or Lack of Wealth?
This is verse number seven, and it says, one pretends to be rich, yet has nothing. Anotherpretends to be poor, yet has great wealth. It's about the appearance. You may have heard the phrase that you can't judge by appearances. That's really what this verse is telling us. We don't want to be people who are putting on a front, or putting on a show, or trying to impress. And so means we need to be much more confident in being clear about who we are. As followers of christ, letting others know our king is jesus. Jesus, please make us those kinds of a forthright people who speak your name without apology
