When Doc Ellis got word that his brother was dying back home in St. Louis and he would have to leave on emergency leave, he made an unannounced visit to Saddam's cell. It is very clear to me that these men, and whatever care means, cared about Saddam Hussein in some way. Do you think they did care for him? One of the reasons for that is that it's a lot more difficult to play a role in the execution of someone that you've come to see as a human being.
