There is a growing movement of public opposition to these new projects, both from environment groups and first nations groups. The government now has to come out with a regulation that explains how polluters are going to start cutting their pollution. We also have very weak environment laws in australia at the moment that allow projects to be approved. And the minister, in deciding whether to approve the projects, doesn't have to take into account climate change - which is astounding when you think about it.
