The Transition From Democracy to Globalism
In the early seventies, there were still a lot of people hanging on to the idea of revolution. The ones who did stick around were very committed, sure, but also often just people who had nothing else to do or nowhere else to go. In this era, even among democrats, politics has more or less followed regin's theme that government cannot really solve our problems. If anythingt is the problem, and that we should all be casting a suspicious eye toward anyone who shows up with a grand plan about how to make society better.
