How to Slow Things Down Early
One reason for slowing things down early is like you get this um experience for next time. I think social capital is more like making a bet where if if it goes well then you actually have more social capital that you can use next time. If you manage to slow things down at the moment it's not clear to me that that would uh lose you the bet. Things are likely to continue to look very scary and we need to work on transparency of AI systems so they don't cause terrible things to happen.
