The Importance of Baptism in the Reformation

Paul is speaking about human regulations imposed as religious practices. We believe that infant baptism with all due respect to our friends who practice it is a commandment of man we don't see that it's commanded in the word of God. Those were the key matters after the Reformation that really helped to develop the doctrine of religious liberty and the responsibilities within boundaries of government and church. I mean these were radical ideas in their day. Well okay where they radical ideas not so much for Bacchus because there's a long history before him of others.
