Raymond Chandler and Dachshoeil Hammett

Do you think that there's a literary equivalent to pop music? Well, I suppose when you think about things like Raymond Chandler and Dachshoeil Hammett. They were some of the first paperbacks, you know, and would have just been thought of as being pretty trashy at the time. And yet with Raymond Chandler, I, again, I think I've read just about everything that he wrote. Some passages in his books are amazing. Maybe dare,. You know, because pop music, pop music was just supposed to be something that was throw awaylike they called it chewing gum for the years or whatever - but it's still alive now.
