Pigeon, the Native Language of the World
From 1820 to 1840, Hawaii became the most Christianized nation in the world. They were learning how to read so they could read the word of God. Shortly after that is when the sugar cane industry came and they brought in Chinese immigrants. And you had all these different and also you had Portuguese and Puerto Ricans who couldn't really speak English. So they just kind of created their own dialect. That was the birth of Pigeon.
