In this episode of pathways with joseph campbell, were listening to a sarah lawrence classroom lecture from the fall of 19 68. Professor campbell introduces a coarse conference with ovid's metamorphosis. Within the first five minutes of the recording, we hear professor campbell mention that for every person in the class room, there were two students who were not allowed to take the course. In his book, the politics of myth robert elwood offered the ex e of a woman who recalled campbell's saying that he would flunk any student who took part in political activism. And when she did, he made good o his threat.
