Introduction

The fetal heart rate is controlled by various integrated physiological mechanisms. Intrapartum, fetal bradycardia may be in direct response to an evolving or an acute hypoxic event that can be tachycystially, uterine rupture, or placental abruption. Most fetal brady arrhythmias will be non-hypoxia related.
