Is There a Consequence of Rebirth?

i wanted to do a podcast episode about this e we practise signlessness by recognizing that the appearance of a thing, in other words, sign, is not the same thing as the thing itself. There's an expression in buddhism that says, the finger pointing at the moon is not the moon. So that signlessness correlated to rebirth. How i perceive something is a sign. And why would it be any different with anything else in the universe, including, or perhaps especially us?
