Spinoza's Philosophy
Spinoza was excommunicated from the Jewish synagogue in a very ferocious way. At that point he embarked on life as a sort of freelance philosopher of no faith which was very unusual even in Holland at the time. He began by writing some treatises, short treatises, trying out various bits of philosophical ideas then wrote a sort of summary in this strange geometrical style to Deskott's major work The Principles of Philosophy. But it's the ethics, it's the Ethics, that's one that's most studied now and that also is written in this bizarre geometric style.
