The Basing Theory of the Mind

Base rule is essentially just a basic consequence of the axioms of the probability calculus. Some deviations that people have noted from base rule, that humans exhibit, could be understood as rational approximations to base rule. And so you can imagine that when we look at these am by stable stimule, our brain is basically sampling from a distribution over image interpretations. That's what produces these switching behavior between the different interpretations.
