The Dark Groove by Carl Berger

The first and most obvious development that this song undergoes is he sings it nice down in the very middle of his register. Then for the second verse he just alights up to this D and sings a completely different phrase over the same chord progression. The next two sections of the song start to give a sense of how he begins to repurpose all of those components in really amazing ways. And as we go from the dark groove into the riff and then back home we'll sort of take it apart and look at what he's doing that's new.
