Kaya Henderson is the CEO of Reconstruction. It's a technology company delivering K-12 supplemental curriculum that highlights the history and contributions of black people in subjects such as math, geography and cooking. She started teaching with Teach for America and then became its executive director in 1997. Went on to be the deputy chancellor of the DC public schools in 2007 and then became chancellor in 2011.
