There's a project, there is the projection of the self into the thing that you are investigating or experiencing. That neediness is about like, yes, what do I need? What did I not get developmentally? Where do I need safety, etc? And so I think this is more about attention, you know, an awareness of a situation, a consciousness, that something is wrong.
