The China Shock Paper - Is Automation Labor Displacing the Fundamental Question of Economics?

The China Shock really did have, you know, deep economic consequences that left people feeling both worse off and ignored. And I do think that Trump was partly tapping into the legitimate economic anger about the economic pain that had been inflicted. But a longer answer is we don't know how much of this is coming from automation? Is it coming from changes in market structures? It's coming from a failure of competition for labor?
