I think there's also some education and benefit of being a free lancer. Maybe it is a freelanced position where you've got three to five different clients, and you find one small thing that you can help them with. You like, you bridge the gap, or you meet this need somewhere else. Free lancers have a lot of knowledge and have an understanding of how other teams have done things. They see good processes, they see bad processes. And sometimes your process is what will kill you.
