Is the 1918 Influenza Virus Coming From Birds?
Some people think the 1918 influenza virus also came from birds essentially ready to go in people, although that's harder to sort out. So where else should we look? I mean, obviously, there's a danger of spillovers all over the place. But work is being done. You can definitely work. It's just when you stray into the origins question, then the flags start to fly.
