Roxanne Jones: I don't think Harry Potter could have existed without Earthsea. There's a quote from Le Guin where she's like, I think Rowling could have been better about citing her her ancestors. She and so yeah, there's a lot in this guardian piece from her about how the she felt she herself felt like quoting a woman pretending to think like a man. All of a sudden we're seeing Earthsea from the point of view of the powerless.
