The Origins of Our Solar System

Molecular oxygen is hardly detected anywhere in the interstellar medium. It's only been detected in the gas phase, in two different molecular clouds. This was attributed to having had a higher temperature than usual. If we go that route, it might indicate that our solar system has been formed from unusual, warm, molecular cloud. So if he's right, do astronomers need to tweak their models of our developing solar system?
