The market for lemons is an idea about secondhand cars. You might know that your company is better, but how are you going to actually show it to the other person if you haven't polished yourself? The other person's polished themselves. They're actually not better than they were, but now they look better. And so a simple thing is like confidence. Do people believe in what they're saying? Or are they meek and shy about it? And do they put forward all the uncertainties and all the things that could go wrong? It's quite central to seem confident at something like your business.
